January 2025 Update!

Happy New Year!

We are excited to be three months into our official launch!

       Thank you for the love, the support and the prayers! The Lord has been adding to His Church here in Mobile, since we launched this last October. We have had two baptisms, One family joined our efforts before our launch. A couple of men have joined the church and we just had another family to join this last Sunday. We have visiting families who have been to nearly every service since our launch date! Some of those are bringing people with them to church.

Pray for more souls to be saved. Before we launched, we saw a few people come to know the Lord as their Savior. We want to see more. Thankfully, the Lord is bringing us people who are saved and in need of a good church home. We are grateful for this. We want to help add to the rejoicing in Heaven!

Pray for our family as we look to move into the city of Mobile. Pray that God give us the wisdom and clear direction needed as we purchase and move into a new home. We are excited about what lies ahead and cannot wait to see the door that God opens for us.

We have taken on our very first missionary and we are thrilled about it! Prayerfully we are able to do much more by way of missions this year and the years to come.

       We have started a discipleship program on Thursdays at 7pm. We have prayer time and bible study time together as we go through God’s word. We just finished studying the authority of the word of God. This Thursday coming, we are looking at knowing God. Our personal relationship with God. It’s been real good so far; guests and members alike are loving the discipleship time. I’ve had two men in our church tell me that they wish they had something like this years ago; one in particular was telling me he’s never seen anything like it. I’m challenged by that thought. We’ve got work to do.

Pray for the families that are considering joining Victory Baptist Church. We want the Lord to add more to His church. We love these families dearly. I believe God is knitting our hearts together with them. We know there’s an enemy that hates them and us. If God so wills, may they be added to the church and the work of the Lord.

We found out some new building needs the past few weeks. We need to insulate both buildings and make more repairs than we thought. Pray that God permits these repairs to go smoothly. While the building is not our main focus, it is the place that we’ve dedicated to the Lord and we want it to be at it’s best.

My family and I stopped deputation to be hands on at the church this past April. We only made it to about 20% support level. Thankfully, we’ve had a few more supporting churches added since that time. We are almost at 30% support now. If you know of a church that’s looking for a work to support, we would appreciate you letting them know about us. We encourage all of you to come and see what the Lord is doing in Mobile!
